Maintenance

When regularly waxed and properly stored, the Lunik skis and snowboards can last a long time. Here are few maintenance tips.

DURING THE SEASON

Let the skis dry after a day skiing. This way the edges won’t gather rust and keep their fit. This is also important for the bindings.

Wax your skis regularly. The base material is porous. An unwaxed base gathers dirt and the ski will not slide efficiently.

Skis can be damaged by sharp rocks. If the base is punctured, it should be fixed so that moisture will not get into the core of the ski.

Skis can be scratched. As the top sheet of the ski is varnished wood you can treat it with regular car wax. If the scratch is deep, the ski can be re-varnished.

OFF-SEASON

Wax the skis and leave the coating on the base.

Store the skis at room temperature or lower. You can store them in a dry ski bag.
